At Hackforth and Hornby CE Primary School, we aim to enable our children to develop their understanding of themselves and the World, in the context of Christian belief and practice.

As a Church of England School, our Christian Values are very important to us and permeate through all that we do. We encourage our whole school community to live out our chosen values both at home and school. We very much see our values as 'Values for life' not only for Christians but for all. Our Christian Values are regularly referred to, supporting our children to fully understand what they mean, why they are important, and how they link to their own lives.

Hackforth & Hornby Church of England Primary School aims to offer its pupils all-round excellence in education. We work with stakeholders to develop and nurture the full academic, social, moral, spiritual and physical potential of each pupil and staff member in an inclusive, safe, secure and caring environment.

Staff and governors encourage pupils to become independent, self-motivated learners, who move to the next stage of their education, equipped to respond positively to, and enjoy the challenges of the twenty-first century.
