As part of our review of attendance in school, we have evaluated time taken out of school for medical appointments and the impact upon children's learning.  We appreciate that, particularly with hospital and orthodontist appointments, it is often difficult to avoid appointments during the school day.  However, with doctors and dentist appointments, there is more flexibility. We ask that you only make appointments during the school day when this is necessary.

If this is necessary, you will be asked to complete a form (copy below) and provide confirmation of the appointment, i.e. a copy of the letter, email or text message.
